Hotel overview
Hotel ROMY by AMANO offers a modern and streamlined experience in Berlin’s central district near Hauptbahnhof station. The sleek rooms provide views of the bustling cityscape, creating a calm retreat after a day exploring nearby attractions such as the Hamburger Bahnhof museum and Turmstrasse’s shopping streets. Guests will appreciate the technology-forward approach with automated check-in and well-maintained, though compact, rooms.
The hotel features a rooftop restaurant and bar, giving travelers a spot to unwind with a panorama of Berlin’s skyline. Breakfast is available for purchase and offers a variety of options, suited for early starts or relaxed mornings. Though the hotel lacks a fitness center or pool, it compensates with pet-friendly and family-friendly services, laundry facilities, and a smoke-free environment.
With its proximity to public transit, including direct connections to Berlin Brandenburg Airport, the location supports easy city navigation. Though rooms facing the rear lack views, the convenience of the location near major transport hubs remains a strong advantage.

What travelers say
A snapshot of guest ratings and stories behind the stay.
“Location is really good near to the HBF, many cafes and supermarkets also (5-10 minutes), a tram next to the hotel. Service was alright, Claire welcomed us with a smile and made sure everything was OK! She was really nice and sweet!! Rest of the employees, eh.. Cleaner lady did not speak any English or German, was really hard to communicate but she was nice too. All in all, great location and hotel and we miss Claire already :)”
“Yes small but this is my choice because the bigger one available. Gave us the best view and hospitality. Frontdesk was so helpful too. Accessibility was spectacular”
“This hotel is located just opposite to the Berlin main train station so the location is very convenient. It is a modern tech savvy hotel where the check in and other processes are automated. The rooms are quite small but clean and tidy with all the basic facilities. If you have a room on the backside there is no view because there's another big building opposite to it. The breakfast is good and has a variety of options. A word of caution to all - The in general theme of the hotel is black color so the people who do not like black color may not find this hotel comfortable or uneasy.”
